Most Memorable Moment of the Day?

As a day, your wedding day is one of the most memorable days of your life. It is the day when you stand up in front of all the people who mean the most to you and declare your love for another person. On a day like your wedding day it can be hard to pick one memorable moment but we spoke to some newly married couples to see what they remembered most about their special day and what moments in particular stood out for them.

Here Comes the Bride...

When talking about weddings, it is usually the bride who gets all the attention and sometimes the groom is forgotten about. When it comes to the most memorable moment of the day, a lot of the brides said it was the look in their fiancé’s eyes as they caught sight of each other down the aisle. One bride said she felt like there was no one else in the room apart from the two of them and it brought her to tears. For another bride it was the moment they were announced as husband and wife because it was the moment their lives had changed forever and they were now a part of each other with interlinked lives. Another said she couldn’t recall her most memorable moment as the whole day passed in a blur of happiness. She said, “I just felt like I was on cloud nine the whole day. I was surrounded by everyone I love the most in the world and had just married the man of my dreams.” For some of the women it was signing the register with their married name. “I had practiced my new signature since we were engaged but seeing it in black and white that we were husband and wife was amazing.”

The Groom

The grooms had equally loving memories and some were more unromantic, with most stating that the moment they saw their bride at the end of the aisle was the most amazing moment of their day. One groom said, “I saw her at the end of the aisle and I just couldn’t wait to marry her. She actually took my breath away and I knew she was the perfect woman for me.” Another said it was not the day itself but the next morning when he woke up beside his wife. One groom had, maybe not the most romantic suggestion, and said how his best man’s speech was his most memorable moment as it was so embarrassing.

One tip for brides for remembering your wedding day and setting it apart from the rest of your life is to wear a new perfume. The scent of that perfume will always transport you back to the most important day of your life and re-ignite all the feelings and emotions from that day. Most of our couples had similar suggestions for their most memorable wedding day moment with most of a romantic nature. Some people have that one memorable moment from their wedding day and others have lots but everyone will always have the whole day to remember.
